Predicted Arsenal line-up vs Leeds United, Jesus starts

Arsenal will be aiming to extend their gap at the top of the Premier League when they face Leeds United at Elland Road this afternoon.

The Gunners are currently one point ahead of Manchester City in the standings and have the chance to go four points clear before the Cityzens face Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta was without four players including Gabriel Jesus for the midweek game at Bodo/Glimt, but we anticipate the Brazilian to return to the line-up.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

Aaron Ramsdale should return between the sticks today after watching Matt Turner start for the third straight European game. The England international remains the first-choice goalkeeper and has played every minute in the Premier League this season.

In defence, there could be a couple of changes from midweek. Gabriel Magalhaes should come into the heart of the backline, replacing Rob Holding. Takehiro Tomiyasu did exceptionally well as the left-back against Liverpool where he nullified the attacking threat from Mohamed Salah. The Japanese ace deserves to start over Kieran Tierney. Ben White and William Saliba should keep their places.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka are automatic picks for manager Mikel Arteta in the centre of the park. Xhaka got a much-needed breather in midweek where he was only a second-half substitute. Keeping the duo fit over the campaign will be essential for the Gunners to stay with City in the title race.

Further forward, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli are set to line up behind Jesus once more. Arteta recently said that Jesus was in some discomfort after the Liverpool win and will have to be assessed. However, we are fully backing him to lead the attack against Jesse Marsch’s side.
