Predicted Arsenal line-up vs PSV Eindhoven, Jesus starts

Arsenal will entertain PSV Eindhoven in this evening’s Europa League clash at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are currently top of Group A with nine points on the board, two ahead of PSV. They have the opportunity to extend that lead and almost ensure that they will finish top of the standings.

Finishing first in the group has become essential since last season. The top side will skip the round of 32 tie which won’t be easy this time around with some elite clubs dropping in from the Champions League.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

Matt Turner has been the first-choice goalkeeper for the Europa League games so far. He has been ever-present in the competition, but this could change during the knock-out phase where Premier League regular Aaron Ramsdale could get the nod.

Mikel Arteta choose to go with Ben White, Rob Holding, William Saliba and Kieran Tierney as his back four for the last European outing with Bodo/Glimt. It could be something similar this evening with Gabriel Magalhaes and Takehiro Tomiyasu being rested.

Albert Sambi Lokonga and Fabio Vieira played in a two-man midfield in Norway. Vieira could play further up today with Granit Xhaka returning to the first XI. The Swiss has been an X-factor for Arsenal this term with his regular goal contributions in the final third.

Further forward, Bukayo Saka looks set to start for the second Europa League game running on the right wing. He has scored the winning goal in each of the last two games for Arsenal. We fancy Arteta to spring a surprise with Gabriel Jesus starting on the left flank. Gabriel Martinelli is doubtful.

The Brazilian has been a revelation leading the line but can also be a menace from out wide with his pace and quick dribbling. In the number 10 role, it could be Vieira with Martin Odegaard getting a breather. Eddie Nketiah should certainly lead the line again.
