‘They are machines’: Gabriel Jesus raves about Arsenal duo

Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus was full of praise for Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli ahead of the Europa League clash against PSV Eindhoven on the road this evening.

The north London giants have won each of their four games in Europe this campaign and they require just one more point from the remaining two matches to finish top of their group.

It should be a straightforward task for the Gunners and manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping that his players can complete the task in today’s early kick-off in Eindhoven.

Ahead of the game, Jesus accompanied Arteta in the press conference. He was full of praise for Saka and Martinelli saying that ‘they are machines’ he can’t keep up with.

He told reporters via Hayters TV: “They are machines. I joke with them because I think I’m a player with a lot of energy. I run all the time, I fight all the time but when I train every day with them that I’m nothing close to them, they just don’t stop. They are machines, they are quality players as well and they are still young, 21, 20 both? I’m lucky to play with them.”

Arsenal have been blessed with two of Europe’s best young talents in Martinelli and Saka and the duo have played an instrumental role in the club’s excellent start to the season.

Along with Jesus and Martin Odegaard, they have formed a potent attack and the onus will be on maintaining the consistency as the Gunners look to challenge for potential silverware.

The Gunners have definitely exceeded expectations in the Premier League with a two-point lead at the top of the table. It remains to be seen whether they can sustain the impressive start.

Goals have seemingly dried up over the past few games. They have scored a maximum of one in the last four outings. However, this has been partly due to missed scoring chances.

Jesus looks on course to start against PSV after attending the presser and the Brazilian will be determined to end his five-match goalscoring drought in Eindhoven this evening.
