|
Arsenal defender Auston Trusty continued his fine loan spell with Birmingham City by scoring an outrageous backheel goal against Queen Park Rangers last night (2-0 win).
The United States star joined the Gunners from Colorado Rapids last winter. He stayed with the MLS outfit until the summer before being loaned out to the Blues.
His time in the Championship has been very impressive and the 24-year-old bagged the man of the match last night after opening the scoring with a sublime piece of skill.

Aside from his goal, the left-footed centre-back won three tackles, five aerial duels and made a stunning 11 clearances. It was certainly a commanding display from the Gunners ace.
Trusty has been a key figure at the heart of the Blues backline. He has made 18 appearances for the Midlands outfit, registering three goals in the process. He has adapted very well.
It will be interesting to see whether the Gunners have any plans of recalling him in January. Trusty could act as a possible deputy to Gabriel Magalhaes for the left-sided centre-back role.
Trusty is not the only one who has impressed away on loan. Folarin Balogun and Charlie Patino are also excelling in their respective stints away at Reims and Blackpool respectively.
Nuno Tavares has also proved a solid acquisition for Marseille this campaign while Nicolas Pepe has found his feet after joining Nice. He has four goals in his last six appearances.
