Big boost for Arsenal as Bukayo Saka could face Chelsea

Arsenal have been handed a big injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash against Chelsea on Sunday, according to The Sun.

The north London giants reclaimed their spot at the top of the table last weekend following a convincing 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

Bukayo Saka provided the assist for Gabriel Martinelli’s opening goal, but the Gunners graduate was taken off before the 30th-minute mark.

Saka was struggling with a knock to his knee and leg and manager Mikel Arteta opted to sub him after discussing with his medical team.

Following the game, Arteta said that the concern may not be serious and it is now reported that the Gunners are optimistic of Saka’s quick return.

The young winger was not spotted in crutches or a protective boot heading out of the Emirates and he could return to face Chelsea this weekend.

Saka’s availability a big boost for the Gunners

Reiss Nelson had an extraordinary game on Sunday. He came on for his first league appearance of the season and had a superb impact with two goals and an assist.

The 22-year-old produced his best performance of his career, but fans should not get carried away. Despite his showing, Saka remains the number one choice on the right wing.

Nelson looks on course to feature against Zurich in the Europa League on Thursday. The Gunners need a solitary point to ensure that they qualify with top position in their group.

However, Saka could make his comeback against the Blues (away). The £70,000-a-week star has two goals in his six meetings against them and should be a handful for their defence.

With just two points separating Arsenal from second-placed Manchester City, they may need to win both of their games this month to stay top before the World Cup break.

We don’t see the Cityzens dropping points against Fulham and Brentford.
