Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard nominated for Premier League POTM for November/December

Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard have been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for November and December.

The Gunners have been in fantastic form throughout the top-flight campaign and they are currently top of the standings with an eight-point lead over Manchester City.

Saka and Odegaard have played a key role in the run and they were hugely impressive between November and December as the Gunners won all four of their league games.

Saka scored in the impressive 3-1 and 4-2 wins over West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion respectively and also set-up the winning goal (1-0) against Chelsea away.

Meanwhile, Odegaard led by example as the captain with a stunning six goal contributions. The Norwegian scored a brace in the victory at Wolves before the World Cup.

He managed two assists in the comeback triumph over West Ham United before bagging a goal and an assist in the impressive 4-2 victory over Brighton at the Amex Stadium.

In our opinion, Odegaard should be a clear favourite for the individual prize but there will be plenty of competition with Marcus Rashford and Erling Haaland also nominated.

Whatever the result, Saka and Odegaard, valued at a combined £142 million by Transfermarkt, will be hoping to carry on the fine form to help the Gunners lift an unexpected league title.

Champions League qualification has always been the Gunners’ priority this term, but the club must try their utmost to withstand the challenge of Manchester City for the English crown.
