Arsenal in advanced talks to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk

Arsenal are in advanced talks with Shakhtar Donetsk to finalise the transfer of Mykhaylo Mudryk, according to Calciomercato.it.
The Gunners are focused on bolstering their wide attacking department this month and it is well known that Mudryk is the priority target for them.
Talks have been ongoing for the past few weeks and it is now reported that negotiations are in a ‘more advanced phase’ between the teams for the 22-year-old.
Calciomercato.it also claim that the clubs are filling details at the moment such as add-ons and a future sell-on fee before an agreement is formally reached.
Arsenal could sign Mudryk in the next few days
Mudryk has been on the Gunners’ radar since the summer and it appears they may have to overpay for him during the ongoing winter transfer window.
The club would have ideally liked to sign him for around €50-60 million, but Shakhtar have been firm on their valuation of €100m right from the beginning.
The Gunners are now looking to lower the initial fee with add-ons and it could be a matter of time before the club reach a transfer deal with Shakhtar.
Mudryk should be a top-class signing for the Gunners. He has registered an impressive tally of 10 goals and eight assists from just 18 games this campaign.
Five of those goal involvements were in the Champions League. Mudryk’s sheer pace and dribbling should make him a menace for opposition defences.
In our opinion, he is likely to be a direct competitor to Gabriel Martinelli on the left side of the attack where he has been largely successful in his short career.
His arrival could also pave the way for Martinelli to lead the line in case manager Mikel Arteta is looking for an alternative to Eddie Nketiah in the injury absence of Gabriel Jesus.
