Report: Arsenal plotting stunning move for £100m Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Mikel Arteta admits Arsenal need abrupt solution to boost midfield woes

Arsenal allegedly now want to sign Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the January transfer window, after missing out on Mykhaylo Mudryk.

That’s according to a report from Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb who claim that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen to bring the sensational 21-year-old winger to The Emirates this month.

The Gunners are currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table, with an eight point lead over Manchester City and a nine point advantage over Sunday’s opponents Manchester United.

The addition of at least one elite player this month could well be enough to get Arsenal over the line in the race for their first Premier League title since 2004…

Arsenal eyeing ambitious Khvicha Kvaratskhelia swoop

According to a report from TMW, the Napoli star is viewed as a Mudryk alternative by the powers that be at the Emirates , and what an incredible signing he would be for the Gunners.

Kvaratskhelia is a real talent and is very highly-rated in the game. He joined Napoli in the summer transfer window for around £8.6 million (Get Football News Italy). And since then, he has firmly established himself as one of the world’s best attackers.

Football Transfers describe the 19-capped Georgia international as ‘world-class’.

Kvaratskhelia has racked up nine goals and 12 assists in 20 outings for the Serie A side so far this season – an incredible return of 21 goals and assists combined. He would undoubtedly take the Gunners to a whole new level in the final third, if that’s at all possible!

Unfortunately for Arsenal though, Napoli are demanding a massive £100 million fee for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (Tuttomercatoweb). I just can’t see the Gunners board paying that amount this month. Perhaps this is one to keep an eye on in the summer…
