Report: Arsenal spree could continue with shock swoop for ‘sensational’ €40m Eduardo Camavinga
|Arsenal have been linked with a shock move to sign Eduardo Camavinga on loan from Real Madrid in the January transfer window.
The Evening Standard claim that the Arsenal board are backing Mikel Arteta to the hilt this month, with a first Premier League title in 19 years firmly in their grasp.
The Gunners have already signed Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior this month, and it seems as though cover for Thomas Partey could be the next item on Arteta’s agenda.

Arsenal have been linked with a shock move to sign Eduardo Camavinga
The 20-year-old Madrid ace has been described as a sensational midfielder by well-renowned football analysis website Breaking The Lines.
However, since joining Real Madrid for around €40 million in 2021 (Sky Sports) he has struggled for regular first-team, action with the European giants.
Arsenal have dealt with Madrid before, taking Martin Odegaard on loan before signing him permanently. And the Gunners could be set to secure another gem from the Spanish capital.
The Evening Standard reckon that Arteta wants to bring Eduardo Camavinga to the Emirates on loan until the end of the season. Now, this would obviously be a stunning move from Arsenal. However, if it does happen, it will only be worth it if Madrid allow a purchase option to be included in the deal.
The French World Cup finalist would be a sensational addition for Arsenal. Arteta desperately needs competition and cover for Thomas Partey. Should the 29-year-old suffer an injury, it would seriously hinder the north London outfit’s Premier League title hopes.
Having Camavinga as a backup for the Ghanaian would be be the perfect antidote to that though. This could end up being a seriously impressive January transfer window for Arsenal.
