Arsenal have ‘tested the waters’ for ‘lethal’ centre-forward Dusan Vlahovic – report

Arsenal have reportedly ‘tested the waters’ for the signing of talented Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
That’s according to a report from Corriere dello Sport who claim that Juve will demand around €80 million (£70 million) from Arsenal for the 22-year-old striker.
Signing a top-class striker is obviously something that’s on Mikel Arteta’s agenda ahead of the summer transfer window.
Gabriel Jesus is currently out injured and to be fair to Eddie Nkeitah, he has proven to be an excellent stand-in for the Brazilian. However, signing an elite striker could take the Gunners to another level entirely. And it seems as though Arteta is certainly keen to bring one to the Emirates…
Dusan Vlahovic on Arsenal radar
According to report from Italian publication CDS, the Gunners are one of six clubs chasing the Juventus hitman.
In fact, it is suggested that Arsenal have actually already made tentative enquiries for the Serbia international. I believe that the Juve forward would be a stunning addition for the north London outfit, in spite of his sketchy form for the Old Lady over the past 12 months.
Vlahovic has been described as ‘lethal’ by the Telegraph. The 22-year-old is an absolute powerhouse of a striker and is a very good finisher. He would act as a brilliant focal point to Arsenal’s attacking play and would provide Arteta with a unique option that he doesn’t currently possess.
£70 million is obviously an awful lot of money to be spending on one player for Arsenal – especially someone who wouldn’t be a guaranteed starter for the club. However, Dusan Vlahovic has that special sauce, and I believe that he could take the Gunners to a new level entirely.
