Arsenal willing to do everything to sign Vitor Roque

Arsenal are determined to sign Athletico Paranaense youngster Vitor Roque, according to Spanish outlet AS.
The Gunners have been regularly linked with the 17-year-old and it was recently reported that sporting director Edu Gaspar has been in contact with his representative.
The north London giants are one of the clubs that are ‘most committed‘ to signing the Brazilian wonderkid and they are now ‘willing to do everything’ to land his services.
Arsenal are expected to face stiff competition from Barcelona in the pursuit.
Roque would be a statement signing for Arsenal
Roque will turn 18 on February 28. This would make him eligible to play for a European club next season.
Hence, there is widespread interest in signing him and it appears Arsenal and Barcelona could be the front-runners, based on the recent speculation in the media.
In our opinion, Roque would be a statement signing for Arsenal if they can pull it off. At just 17, he has been brilliant for club and country from multiple positions.
He is a centre-forward by trade but has been equally impressive from the right wing.
The youngster recently scored six goals and provided an assist for Brazil at the Under-20 South American Championship, where they were crowned as champions.
Roque would be a fantastic long-term signing for Arsenal, but the main stumbling block could be the asking price as he has a hefty €60 million release clause in his deal.
It is unlikely that Arsenal will make such a huge outlay. A transfer may only materialise if Athletico are willing to accept part of the fee up front with the remaining in add-ons.
