Arsenal duo make England squad for Euro 2024 qualifiers

Arsenal duo Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka have been called up to the England squad for the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Italy and Ukraine this month.

The Three Lions will be playing their first competitive game since their World Cup quarter-final exit to France and Gareth Southgate has named a 25-man squad.

Ramsdale was the deputy to Everton’s Jordan Pickford during the tournament in Qatar and he is likely to assume a similar role in the upcoming internationals.

Meanwhile, Bukayo Saka’s selection was always expected. The Gunners graduate has been brilliant for club and country in the past two years with several goal contributions.

Saka, who is now valued at €110 million by Transfermarkt, contributed three goals and one assist at the World Cup and could start in both of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

Here is the 25-man squad selected by Gareth Southgate for the upcoming internationals.

Ben White is a surprise exclusion from the Three Lions squad and in our opinion, he should have made the cut with his ability to play at right-back and in central defence.

Southgate has explained that the selection of Reece James and Kieran Trippier led to White’s omission, but we clearly believe he should have been picked on current form.

The €50 million-rated star has been one of the best-performing right-backs in the Premier League but Southgate has gone with James despite his injury concerns.

Arsenal and manager Mikel Arteta won’t be worried over the same as White will get a much-needed break from action ahead of the season run-in from the beginning of April.
