Bukayo Saka signs new Arsenal contract till 2027
|Off the back of what has been an excellent 2022/23 campaign so far, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with the club, extending his stay till 2027.
The 21-year-old has been attracting interest from several of Europe’s elite sides having established himself as one of the best young attackers in the world.
Joining Aaron Ramsdale who also recently extended his stay at the Emirates Stadium, Saka has now signed a new deal with his current employers, putting an end to speculations surrounding his future.
“I’m just really happy, there’s been a lot of talking and it’s been a while, but I’m here now,” Saka told Arsenal’s official website.
“I think this is the right club, the right place to make the next step. It’s a beautiful club – look where we are.
“For me, it’s about achieving my personal ambitions; how much I push myself and demand from myself each game, week in, week out.
“Then I have all the right people around me in terms of family, and when I come to the training ground, my teammates, the coaching staff.
“I think I have everything I need to become the best player I can be, and that’s why I’m happy to stay here and be here for the future because I really believe that we can achieve big things.”
Having seen their title challenge finally come to an end following a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest last time out, Arsenal can now focus on bolstering their squad for the added commitment of European football next season.
The Gunners are expected to make significant moves in the upcoming transfer window with three Premier League stars already linked with a move to North London.
In the meantime, Mikel Arteta’s men will be looking to conclude the current campaign on a high when they play host to Wolverhampton Wanderers in their season finale on Sunday.
