Bayern Munich ready to pay €100m to sign Arsenal target Declan Rice

Bayern Munich are ready to break the bank to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice this summer, reports Kicker.

Arsenal are also keen on the England international, but the Bundesliga club appear to have emerged as favourites.

Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel has already met with the 24-year-old, and joining the club is said to have appealed to him.

The Gunners have been linked with Rice since January but may need to start looking elsewhere from the look of things.

Arsenal are ready to bolster their ranks this summer to mount a stronger title challenge next term.

However, whether they are ready to pull out all the stops to land him remains to be seen.

Bayern are, with the six-time Champions League winners ready to pay €100 million for his services.

The €80m they spent on Lucas Hernandez to bring him from Atletico Madrid in 2019 remains their club-record fee for a player.

The Germans are keen on breaking the record to sign Rice and blow Arsenal and co out of the water.

The Gunners spent €80m on Nicolas Pepe in 2019 to set a club-record for an incoming transfer.

They also have to be willing to break their record to have a chance of pipping Bayern to Rice.

Such a player could make a world of difference in their title challenge next season.

Remaining in England could be more appealing to the West Ham captain, and Arsenal have a chance of getting him if their personal terms and transfer fee can convince the player and club.
