Leicester City attacker Harvey Barnes has interest from Arsenal

Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes has interest from Arsenal, reports the Daily Mail.

The Englishman is expected to leave the Foxes this summer following their relegation from the Premier League.

Barnes has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, and the Gunners appear to be keen too.

The one-cap England international could be waiting until later in the window for his future to be resolved while Leicester determine his price.

Barnes ended the season with 13 goals and an assist in 34 Premier League games for the Foxes.

He has often lined up on the left of the attack but can also play centrally behind a striker.

While signing a winger is not a top priority for Arsenal, they could do with quality depth in the position.

Manager Mikel Arteta needs cover in attack, and playing in the Champions League will further stretch his squad.

Barnes has been very reliable for Leicester and adding him to the Gunners attack could be worth it.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp once dubbed the 25-year-old an ‘unbelievable player’ back in 2021, which speaks volumes.

Barnes is a quality attacker, and Arsenal should not hesitate to go after him if Leicester are willing to do business for a decent fee.

However, convincing the player to move to The Emirates Stadium could be tough.

He is unlikely to force his way into the Gunners starting XI given the plethora of attacking talents available to Arteta.

Barnes would love to move to a club where he is guaranteed a regular place in the line-up as he needs to play regularly to force his way into Gareth Southgate’s England squad ahead of next year’s European Championship.
