Arsenal want to sell Folarin Balogun for £35 million as Crystal Palace signify interest

Arsenal want £35 million from suitors to sell Folarin Balogun this summer, reports the Sun.

The USA international spent last season on loan in the Ligue 1 with Reims, bagging 22 goals across all competitions.

Balogun is attracting RB Leipzig, AC Milan and Inter Milan, but Crystal Palace are also interested, and he could be keen on proving himself in the Premier League.

However, the Eagles are unlikely to be willing to part with £35m for the 21-year-old.

Arsenal are not in need of another striker and Balogun has said he is no longer keen on joining another club on loan.

Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah are the striking options available to manager Mikel Arteta, but most of his other forwards can also play as a number 9.

The Gunners are closing in on a move for Chelsea forward Kai Havertz, and the Germany international can be deployed as a central forward too.

Balogun will struggle to play if he remains at Arsenal, and both parties are expected to part ways this summer.

He is out of contract in 2025, but this summer represents the best time to cash in on him after the incredible campaign he had last time.

However, the North London will have to reduce their asking price to have a realistic chance of selling him.

The former England youth international will not be short of suitors after impressing in France last term, and more clubs are expected to join the race for his services.
