Arsenal want Red Bull Salzburg attacker Oscar Gloukh

Arsenal are interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg attacking midfielder Oscar Gloukh, reports the Guardian.

The Gunners want to bolster their ranks this summer and would love to snap up the Israel international ace.

However, they face competition from Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Manchester United for his services.

Gloukh rejected a move to Barcelona in January, opting to join the Austrian club from Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The La Liga club are still interested in the 19-year-old, and fellow Spanish side Villarreal are keen too.

Gloukh is also on the radar of AC Milan, AS Monaco and RB Leipzig, and whether Arsenal can pip stiff competition to his services remains to be seen.

The teenage sensation has been in fine form at the ongoing European Under-21 Championships.

His country will face England in the semi-final on Wednesday, and Gloukh will be hoping to knock the young Three Lions out.

He bagged four goals at the European Under-19 Championship last summer, including one against England in their 3-1 defeat in the final.

Gloukh is already a full Israel international, with six international caps to his name.

While Italian, French, and German clubs would love to sign him, the attacker would prefer to join a club in England or Spain, giving Arsenal a chance.

He notched Israel’s winning penalty in the quarter-final shootout win over co-hosts Georgia at the weekend, and more clubs will likely join in watching him and others tomorrow.

Arsenal could do with such a talented player, but they are not short of options in attack and it is not a department manager Mikel Arteta is desperate to strengthen this summer.
