Soon-to-be Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has been keeping himself fit in Portugal and has been pictured training with Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo, Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes and AC Milan’s Rafael Leao.

The West Ham United star is set to join the North London club after a deal totalling £105 million was struck by both clubs.

However, there has been a slight delay as the Hammers are waiting for Arsenal’s lawyers to approve the final wording of the deal.

The Gunners play their first pre-season friendly against Nurnberg in Germany on Thursday before travelling for the US pre-season tour three days later.

Rice is ready to link up with his new side and has shared pictures of himself at work on Instagram.

A closer look at the page of the photographer that took some of the shots Fernandes and Leao uploaded shows the Englishman in training with the Portuguese international trio.

While Rice was not snapped together with Cancelo and the Man United star, a video clip shared on Instagram stories shows all four players involved in a drill.

The Man City full-back has also been linked with Arsenal as manager Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his options at the back.

Cancelo spent the second half of last season on loan at Bayern Munich, but the Bundesliga giants opted against the option of signing him for €70 million.

He is expected to leave the Premier League champions having fallen out with Pep Guardiola last term.

Arsenal are closing in on Ajax defender Jurrien Timber, and it remains to be seen whether they plan to sign Cancelo afterwards.

Arteta knows the Portuguese from his time as assistant manager at Man City, and while a reunion would bear fruits, the finances involved could be too much for Arsenal.
