Declan Rice shows love for Arsenal away kit despite fans criticism
|Arsenal fans have largely criticised the new away kit for next season after it was released a few days ago.
The yellow jersey has been dubbed by some as the ugliest shirt of all-time and the worst in years.
Arsenal say they are celebrating their Islington roots with the Adidas strip, and they played in it earlier today in their first match of the pre-season tour of the United States.
The Gunners ran out 5-0 winners against MLS All-Stars and Declan Rice made his unofficial debut.
The England international midfielder came on in the second half and put in a solid shift.
Unlike most Arsenal fans that have expressed their displeasure about the away kit, Rice appears to love it.
He took to his Instagram stories this evening to react thus to playing in it:
A replica of the top will cost fans £80 and the player-issue version is priced at £110.
Adidas claim the on-field version of the kit features HEAT.RDY technology, which keeps players comfortable during games, and it appears that is one of the reasons why Rice loves it.
However, its replica version uses AEROREADY technology, which uses sweat-wicking absorbent materials to keep its wearer feeling dry.
The shirt is made from 100% recycled materials, with Adidas continually looking for ways to help end plastic waste.
