Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka speaks on his ambitions to win the Ballon d’Or

Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka has told France Football that he dreams of winning the Ballon d’Or someday just like every player does.

The Gunners will be playing Champions League football this term for the first time since 2016-17, and the 21-year-old is hoping to impress in the elite European competition.

Saka wants to win it all with Arsenal and England, and he is focusing on that right now ahead of any individual awards.

“Ultimately, my goal is to win numerous trophies for Arsenal and score pivotal goals,” the Hale End academy graduate told France Football.

“On the international stage as well, winning the World Cup with England would be monumental.

“The aspiration for every player, I believe, is to win the Ballon d’Or. But for now, our focus is on collective victories.”

Saka ended last term with 14 goals and 11 assists in 38 Premier League games and has already picked things up from where he left off last season, scoring a stunning goal in the 2-1 win against Nottingham Forest on Saturday by cutting in from the right and whipping the ball into the top-left corner.

Arsenal were not particularly impressive in their first Premier League game of 2023-24, but they can always rely on the brilliance of their young forward.

He was involved in 18 league goals in 2021-22 and had a hand in eight goals in 2020-21 and six goals in 2019-20, and his progress is evident to see.

Saka needs to keep improving in front of goal and getting better game after game, and there is no doubt that he has the potential to become the best player in the world.

He will need to win major trophies for both club and country, bag a lot of goals and assists and become a world-class player capable of delivering on a consistent basis to have a chance of winning the coveted Ballon d’Or, and he is definitely planning to do all these.
