Nottingham Forest table bid for Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares

Nottingham Forest have submitted an official bid for Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The City Ground club are in talks with the Portuguese as they look to agree personal terms with him.
Tavares is out of favour at Arsenal and is expected to leave again this summer after spending last season on loan with Marseille.
Nottingham Forest want a permanent deal, and the Gunners would not hesitate to sell the 23-year-old if the right offer is tabled.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was full of praise for Tavares after he made his first league start for the club in October 2021, claiming he “has huge talent and a lot of potential”.
The left-back ended his debut season with the Gunners with a goal and two assists in 28 games, but he was in fine form last term in Ligue 1, bagging six league goals in 31 appearances.
Unfortunately, that impressive return was not enough to convince Arteta to reintegrate Tavares back into his first-team, and the long-term injury Jurrien Timber recently sustained has changed nothing concerning the future of the Portuguese.
Arsenal recently sold Matt Turner to Forest and both clubs will be keen to do business together again, and the youngster will be eager to prove himself in the Premier League.
Tavares indeed has huge talent and a lot of potential, but he still has a lot of growing up to do, and a move to another Premier League club could bring out the best in him.
The Gunners want to make more additions to their squad despite already signing three players permanently and another on loan, but they need to raise funds by selling unwanted players, and getting a decent fee for Tavares will come in handy.
