Fulham considering move for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun

Fulham are considering a move for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun with Aleksandar Mitrovic close to securing a transfer to Al-Hilal, according to Daily Mail.

The west London club rejected a £25.5 million offer from Al-Hilal for Mitrovic earlier this summer. The Saudi Arabian giants have now reopened talks for the Serbian, and The Guardian claim that he could leave the Cottagers in a deal more than £40m.

Marco Silva’s side have already signed Raul Jimenez to reinforce the attack, but Daily Mail claim that the club could soon consider an approach for Balogun. The Gunners have set a £50m price tag for their graduate, whose form was described as ‘phenomenal‘ by Mikel Arteta in March.

Balogun to Fulham could be a realistic possibility

Balogun was initially linked with Inter Milan earlier in the transfer window, but the Nerazzurri have pulled out of the race due to the high asking price from Arsenal.

Monaco have been in constant talks with the Gunners for the 22-year-old, but the Ligue 1 outfit have yet to come close to the demands of the north London giants.

Hence, we won’t be surprised if Fulham end up as his next destination. Balogun has been with the club since the age of seven and could be tempted to stay in the English capital.

The Cottagers could be a good choice for him at the current stage of his career. He should get a guaranteed starting role up front to prove himself in the Premier League.

Fulham are currently on the verge of selling Mitrovic for over £40m. In our view, they should have no trouble in adding another £10m to purchase Balogun from the Gunners.
