Real Madrid have a genuine interest in Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes

Real Madrid have a genuine interest in Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes, according to the Daily Mail plus Transfer Confidential.
However, the Brazilian is happy at the North London club and wants to snub offers from suitors.
Gabriel was left out of the starting XI in the opening Premier League game against Nottingham Forest last Saturday amid interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, only seeing action for the last four minutes of the game.

However, he is expected to be involved from the start when Arsenal take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park tonight.
Madrid will be without Eder Militao for months after he sustained a cruciate ligament injury in their first game of the season, and they have been looking at the market for a capable replacement.
Clubs from the Saudi Pro League are still interested in Gabriel, but the 25-year-old Brazil international is committed to Arsenal and wants to help them win the Premier League title after they missed out on it last term.
The former Lille star started all 38 Premier League games last term, weighing in with three goals and manager Mikel Arteta’s decision to drop him from the starting line-up last time out came as a shock.
Gabriel has been a key player since joining the Gunners in 2020, featuring in 120 games to date, and the Saudi money and Madrid interest may not be enough to tempt him to leave.
He received his first call-up to the Brazil national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Bolivia and Peru on Friday, and he knows a move to Saudi could jeopardise his chances of finally establishing himself as a regular for country.
Madrid only see him as a stand-in for his fellow Brazilian, and he could struggle for regular minutes once Militao returns to full fitness, so the decision to reject them makes sense.
