Confirmed Arsenal line-up vs Fulham, Trossard starts

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made two changes to the starting line-up for the Premier League clash against Fulham today.

The Gunners have had a good start to the campaign with back-to-back wins against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.

They will be aiming to continue the winning run in today’s London derby. Ahead of the game, Arteta has opted for two changes.

Takehiro Tomiyasu received his marching orders against Palace on Monday night after receiving two yellow cards.

With him suspended, Jakub Kiwior has been picked to start at left-back ahead of Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Zinchenko has not started a game for the Gunners since early May, and Arteta may want to handle him with caution.

Aside from Tomiyasu, Eddie Nketiah is the other player that has made way from the starting line-up.

Leandro Trossard has replaced him up front. The Belgian bagged a hat-trick of assists in the win at Fulham this year.

Here is Arsenal’s confirmed starting line-up:

Ramsdale; Partey, White, Saliba, Kiwior; Rice, Odegaard, Havertz; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli.

Partey has been experimented from the right-back spot in the opening two games. The Ghanaian looks set to continue in the same role. He is most likely to operate in midfield when in possession.

Nketiah’s exclusion does not surprise us. He won the penalty at Palace, but failed to convert two key chances. Trossard has now been handed the opportunity to impress as the number nine.

We could see him interchanging positions with Martinelli. Gabriel Jesus is back on the bench after his knee surgery, and he will be raring to make his comeback off the bench this afternoon.
