Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka now worth the same as Kylian Mbappe

According to the latest valuations from the CIES Football Observatory, Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka is now worth the same as Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.

The popular website has used data and analysis to compile a comprehensive list of player valuations following its last update on August 30, and it reckons the England international and France international both have the same transfer value of €200 million.

Real Madrid duo Rodrygo Goes and Jude Bellingham are also valued at the same price, with Vinicius Junior and Erling Haaland worth €250m.

Saka has been nominated for the 2023 Ballon d’Or alongside Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, making the 30-man shortlist that was announced yesterday, and there is no denying that he is really worth close to €200m in the transfer market right now.

At 22, the Hale End academy graduate has established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League over the last two seasons, making the PFA Team of the Year for the 2022-23 campaign following an impressive season with the Gunners.

Saka bagged 14 goals and 11 assists in 38 league games last term, emerging as the PFA Young Player of the Year and earning a nomination for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award.

The Arsenal star was voted as England’s Men’s Player of the Year award ahead of Bellingham and Harry Kane and is without a doubt very valuable right now.

However, the North London club are not looking at selling him anytime soon and Saka will also reckon he can fulfil his dreams of winning the major silverware playing for his boyhood club.

The Gunners challenged Manchester City for the Premier League title last term and will look to go one better this season having bolstered their squad in the summer with the additions of Declan Rice and co.

They have also returned to the Champions League after a six-year hiatus and will look to challenge the biggest clubs in Europe for the top prize this term.
