Arsenal confirm 25-man Premier League squad
Arsenal have confirmed their 25-man Premier League squad for the first half of the campaign.
The Gunners have had a good start to the season with 10 points from their opening four games. They went into the international break with a morale-boosting 3-1 win over Manchester United.
The London giants will be aiming to continue the good form against Everton on Sunday but prior to that, they have confirmed their 25-man Premier League squad which can’t be altered until January.
Summer signing Jurrien Timber picked up a serious knee injury on debut last month. The Dutchman is currently on the sidelines for several months, and may not return until the middle of March.
Despite this, the Gunners have included him in the squad list. Mohamed Elneny also makes the cut after having recovered from a long-term injury of his own. He was back in team training yesterday.
Aside from Elneny, Cedric Soares has been picked by the Gunners as well. The Portuguese has been linked with an exit for several months, but he looks set to continue with the club until January at least.
Players under the age of 21 have not been included in the list. As per Premier League rules, clubs can field as many Under-21 players as they wish in their respective matchday squads.

Arsenal have dropped just two points from their first four league outings, but they have had nervy finishes. Manager Mikel Arteta will be hoping for more routine wins.
The Gunners are scheduled to face Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday. The game is far from straightforward despite the Toffees languishing in the relegation zone.
Arsenal have had a dreadful recent record at Goodison. They have picked up just one point from the last five trips and are currently on a three-match losing streak at the stadium.
The club must end their hoodoo at Everton as they bid to challenge for the title.
