Ian Wright singles out Tottenham Hotspur star Destiny Udogie for praise in indirect warning to Arsenal
|Arsenal host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday and both teams will look to inflict defeat on their rival having both gone undefeated so far in the Premier League this term.
The North London duo have both won four games and drawn one, and the derby will give them a chance to earn some bragging rights.
Ian Wright is looking forward to the game and has inadvertently sent an indirect warning to Arsenal after singling out Spurs star Destiny Udogie for praise ahead of the clash.
“You know someone who has got to get some love as well for going under the radar? Udogie,” the Gunners legend said on Wrighty’s House.
“When you watch Spurs, they are impressive. They have put together some players, and I’m looking at a team that is just shutting up everything.
“He has come in and has given them some stability and a progression on the ball that is very impressive. Man is going under the radar.”
The Italian left-back has been an inspired addition to the Tottenham backline since joining from Udinese in the summer, with two assists to his name in five Premier League games.
Arsenal will need to shut him down as he is an attacking threat on the left wing despite being a defender.
Bukayo Saka will have to help Ben White out to stifle the influence of the Spurs man, and the Gunners stars need to be on top of their game against their bitter city rivals to win the game.
Tottenham have improved significantly under new manager Ange Postecoglou this term despite the departure of Harry Kane, and they will be keen to prove a point at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal will fancy their chances of getting all three points, and Mikel Arteta knows dropping points in such a game could prove costly in the long run.
