Ian Wright and Jude Bellingham react to Bukayo Saka’s performance against PSV Eindhoven

Arsenal strolled to a 4-0 victory in their Champions League opener of the season against PSV Eindhoven at Emirates Stadium last night, with Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard all finding the back of the net.

It was the Gunners’ first match in the elite European competition since 2017, and they did not disappoint.

Saka was playing in the competition for the very first time, and he did not disappoint on his debut as he also weighed in with an assist.

The Arsenal star was elated after finally tasting Champions League action, taking to social media after the match to share exactly how he felt.

Ian Wright and his international teammate Jude Bellingham were both pleased for Saka, reacting thus in the comments section.

Arsenal will be facing Sevilla and RC Lens next in their group, and they will fancy their chances of finishing as Group B leaders after their other two opponents played out a 1-1 draw last night.

The North Londoners return to action on Sunday when they face bitter and city rivals Tottenham Hotspur in a highly-anticipated derby in the Premier League.

They face Brentford in the Carabao Cup and Bournemouth in the league afterwards before returning to Champions League action with a trip to France to face Lens, and manager Mikel Arteta will hope his side can sustain the momentum which has made them unbeaten across all competitions this term after seven games.

Not many see Arsenal as one of the contenders for the Champions League this season, but they have what it takes to go all the way and will back themselves against any top team in Europe right now.
