Ian Wright and Roy Keane predict the result of Arsenal vs Bournemouth

Arsenal return to Premier League action on Saturday with a trip to Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth in their seventh fixture of the 2023-24 campaign.

The Gunners have already dropped points twice this term following 2-2 draws against Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur, and they have found themselves four points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Manager Mikel Arteta and his men will look to return to winning ways against the Cherries, and Roy Keane and Ian Wright believe they will stroll to a comfortable victory.

The duo and Gary Neville predicted the result and scoreline of the game on The Overlap’s Stick to Football podcast.

Keane: “I’d go 3-1.”

Wright: “Well, I’d be very surprised if Bournemouth score. I’d probably say 3-0, I think Arsenal are not going to concede.”

Neville: “2-0.”

Wright: “We are not taking the big chances, that is our problem.”

Bournemouth are yet to win a Premier League game this term, drawing three and losing the other three, but they will be eager to give Arsenal a run for their money in front of their home fans.

They have only lost once at the Vitality Stadium so far this season, and while the Gunners are favourites given their form, leaving with all three points may not come easily.

Arteta is likely to be without Declan Rice for the game after the midfielder complained of back pain against Spurs, which forced him off at half-time.

Bukayo Saka is also a doubt for the trip after he limped off in the closing stages of the North London derby, while it remains to be seen whether Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli will be available for selection after they missed the Tottenham game due to hamstring injuries.

Arsenal came from two goals down and scored a 97th winner to beat Bournemouth to maintain their Premier League title charge the last time both sides met, and another cracker could be on the cards.
