‘Probably the best’ – Arteta wowed by what he has seen from 24 y/o ace

Mikel Arteta has lavished praise on Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu ahead of the Gunners’ Premier League clash against Bournemouth on Saturday.
The 24-year-old versatile defender has made only one Premier League start this term, while a further three appearances have come from the bench.
Tomisayu has struggled with his fitness at times but Arteta hopes the Gunners will get a different player when he gets back to his best physical shape.
“We don’t have a player like him,” said Arteta, as relayed by journalist Chris Wheatley.
“His defending is probably the best I’ve seen in many situations. Physically, when he’s at his best we’re going to have a player that’s so important for us.”
Tomiyasu needs an extended run of games
Arteta must give Tomiyasu an extended run in the side following his fantastic performance against Brentford in the League Cup.
He can play in a variety of defensive roles, which should boost his chances of getting game time. He was outstanding in midweek and was rightly chosen as the man of the match.
He is primarily a right-back but has showcased his versatility for both club and country in the past couple of years.
The long-term injury to Jurrien Timber may open the door for him, although Arteta could use him as a centre-back with William Saliba doubtful for the next game.
The Gunners head into this match on the back of a 1-0 win against Brentford in midweek.
They have made an unbeaten start to the season and will look to pick up all three points against the Cherries who lie 17th in the league table.
