Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has sent a message to his teammate Kai Havertz after he opened his goalscoring account in the 4-0 victory against Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
The German international had been under pressure since joining the Gunners from Chelsea during the summer transfer window, with some of his performances thus far very underwhelming.
However, Havertz was in fine form against the Cherries, getting on the scoresheet after converting from the spot to grab the third goal for Arsenal.
The travelling fans loved his overall performance, chanting his name during the game, and he will hope to finally hit the ground running for his new club.
Odegaard was impressed with the performance of the 24-year-old, taking to Instagram to send this message to him after the game.

The Norwegian midfielder decided to allow Havertz take the penalty having scored the second goal of the game from the spot, and the gesture would have helped boost the morale of the German attacker.
Every Arsenal player wanted to be involved in the celebrations after the goal, and it was good to see the love between them.
It took Havertz seven Premier League games before he finally scored his first goal for the North London club, and he will hope to keep finding the back of the net regularly going forward.
The Gunners return to action on Tuesday with a trip to France to face RC Lens in their second game of the Champions League group stage campaign, and they face Manchester City afterwards when the league leaders visit Emirates Stadium next Sunday.
Havertz will be looking forward to impressing in both games ahead of the next international break in October, and Arsenal need him to step up as they aim to win the two fixtures.
