Arsenal’s Premier League game against Brentford moved to accommodate Manchester City v Liverpool

Arsenal have had their Premier League game against Brentford moved to accommodate Manchester City vs Liverpool, according to the Daily Mail.

The North Londoners were due to face the Bees at 3:00 pm on November 25, but the fixture has now been moved to 5:30 pm, with Man City and Liverpool taking place at 12.30 pm as opposed to the initial 5.30 pm kick off time.

The Reds and the reigning champions were due to play during the late Saturday slot at Etihad Stadium on November 25.

However, the local safety advisory group, including the police are not expected to give permission for the fixture to take place in the early evening following a number of issues at previous matches between both clubs.

The Arsenal vs Brentford game has been affected as a result, with the two fixtures now effectively swapping kick-off times.

The Gunners face their London rivals at the Gtech Community Stadium in their first league encounter of 2023-24 and will hope to leave with all three points.

Fortunately for manager Mikel Arteta, the change in time will not affect his side and their preparations.

Although, travelling fans may have to go through some discomfort and change in the travel schedule given that the game does not end until almost 7:30 pm or thereabouts.

The Gunners will hope to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table heading into the second half of the campaign.

They are second, only behind Tottenham Hotspur on goal difference, after eight rounds of fixtures and will hope Man City lose to Liverpool or draw in the early kick-off on November 25.

Arsenal secured victory over Brentford last month in the Carabao Cup and will be looking forward to repeating the feat next month to keep their title chances alive.
