Arsenal must sign Serhou Guirassy in January as low release clause is revealed

Arsenal must take the opportunity to sign Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy in January due to the low release clause in his contract.

The 27-year-old has had an extraordinary start to the current campaign and he has netted a stunning 15 goals from just nine games for Stuttgart.

His form has grabbed the attention of several European clubs and they could land him on the cheap when the transfer window reopens this winter.

As per Fabrizio Romano, the striker has a buy-out clause of just €17.5 million in his contract. The option will be active during the January window.

Gunners must take advantage of clause to sign Guirassy

Guirassy has been exceptional for Stuttgart in the current campaign. He has 17 goal contributions, but has also impressed with his off-the-ball work.

The Guinean star has won more than six duels per game with a success rate of 53 per cent. He has averaged 20 accurate passes per outing, inducing 2.4 fouls.

Arsenal are currently lacking the presence of a goalscoring number nine. Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have netted a combined tally of three goals in the league.

Guirassy would be an upgrade on the duo and could boost the club’s title prospects during the back end of the season. At €17.5m, it seems a no-brainer to sign him.

Of course, there is always a risk with the adaptation time, but he would be a shrewd piece of signing for the Gunners without taking much out of the winter budget.

Arsenal need to be pro-active in their pursuit. They must open talks with his representatives at the earliest in order to jump ahead of the queue to land his signature.
