Arsenal target Pedro Neto breaks silence on his future

Arsenal target Pedro Neto has revealed that he has no plans of leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers midway through the Premier League season.

The Portuguese has suffered multiple long-term injuries over the past few years, but he has been playing to the best of his ability in the current campaign.

The 23-year-old has registered one goal and six assists from just nine league games this term and he is now aiming to see out the season with Wolves.

Arsenal are reportedly lining up a January move for Neto, but the attacker has affirmed his commitment towards the Midlands outfit, he told The Telegraph:

“I want to say that I am here and I will help everyone. I love the club and everybody here, I have always felt that it has given a lot to me. I’m enjoying the moment here so I will continue to do that.”

“The future and long-term ambitions don’t matter. We will never go down in any situation, we are here to win and fight. I feel really good at the moment and hope to continue.”

Arsenal could move for Neto in future

The Gunners have been long-term admirers of Neto. They were initially interested in signing him in the summer of 2022 but a move did not materialise.

In the lead-up to the World Cup, Neto suffered another serious injury. He went out of the radar as a result but the Portuguese has found his form and confidence again.

Arsenal view him as a potential competitor to Bukayo Saka in order to reduce the Englishman’s workload, but they may have to wait until the summer to pursue a deal.

He is reportedly valued at around £50 million. Arsenal should have the upper hand in signing him in future, considering Neto is a self-confessed fan of the club.
