Predicted Arsenal line-up vs Sevilla, Trossard starts in 3 changes

Arsenal welcome Sevilla to the Emirates Stadium for tonight’s Champions League clash.

The Gunners have already picked up six points from their opening three group stage games and a victory over the Andalusian outfit could ensure their passage into the round of 16 of the competition.

Ahead of the game, manager Mikel Arteta could make at least three changes to the starting XI. Eddie Nketiah is doubtful for the game after picking up a knock against Newcastle United.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

David Raya was not entirely convincing between the sticks against the Magpies. He could have done better to stop the cross for the goal. In our view, there was also a foul on Gabriel Magalhaes in the lead-up to Newcastle’s winner. The Spaniard is still expected to continue in goal.

In the backline, Arteta may opt for a solitary change from the Magpies defeat. Oleksandr Zinchenko should return at left-back ahead of Takehiro Tomiyasu to provide more impetus going forward. Ben White, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are expected to retain their places.

Jorginho and Declan Rice have started together in the last two league games, but we would prefer a more attacking formation against the struggling La Liga outfit, particularly with home advantage.

Rice should play as the lone defensive midfielder tonight. He could be accompanied by Fabio Vieira and Kai Havertz in a three-man midfield. The former could play higher up the field.

Martin Odegaard is doubtful for the game after failing to make the squad at the weekend. Further forward, Nketiah is facing a race against time after a knock sustained on Saturday.

Based on the previous meeting vs Sevilla, Arteta should go with a fluidic combination in attack. Leandro Trossard seems the perfect fit to lead the line with Nketiah doubtful and Gabriel Jesus injured.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are obviously assured starters on the right and left wing. The former needs a big performance. He has looked far from his best since his return from injury.
