Predicted Arsenal line-up vs Burnley, Zinchenko starts

Arsenal welcome Burnley to the Emirates Stadium for today’s Premier League clash.

The Gunners suffered their first league defeat of the campaign last weekend. Newcastle United scored a controversial goal after the hour mark.

The club responded with a resounding 2-0 win over Sevilla in the Champions League and will be aiming for another comfortable victory today.

Ahead of the game, Mikel Arteta has revealed that Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard are doubtful. The former picked up a knock on Wednesday.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Line-up:

David Raya has been Arsenal’s undisputed goalkeeper in the Premier League and Champions League games since the September international break. He is expected to start between the sticks.

In the backline, Ben White, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are assured starters. The only change could be at left-back. Oleksandr Zinchenko should start ahead of Takehiro Tomiyasu as he is better going forward.

The manager is unlikely to tinker with his midfield combination. Jorginho should start in the number six role again after a fine display in midweek. The Italian created the opening goal with a fantastic defence splitting pass.

Declan Rice is expected to continue in the creative central midfield position and he should be accompanied by Kai Havertz. The German has shown signs of gaining confidence and had a lively outing against Sevilla.

Further forward, Gabriel Martinelli should be guaranteed his spot on the left wing after a tremendous showing against Sevilla. He was full of running for most of the game, winning 10 duels and completing nine take-ons.

Leandro Trossard should lead the attack ahead of Eddie Nketiah, who was absent in midweek with a minor ankle knock. Gabriel Jesus has been nursing a hamstring injury and looks set to miss out again.

Saka did not train on Thursday but given his recovery levels, it won’t be a surprise if he starts on the right wing. The Gunners graduate looked back to his best with a goal and an assist versus Sevilla.
