Gabriel Jesus in high spirits in Brazil training as Arsenal striker proves fitness ahead of Argentina clash

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus is set to return to action for the first time in almost a month when Brazil take on Argentina in their World Cup qualifiers on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old picked up a hamstring injury in the Champions League match against Sevilla on October 24 and has missed the five games the Gunners have played since then.

Arsenal were hesitant about letting Jesus leave for Brazil to play during the international break as they feared that he had not attained full fitness yet.

However, the striker took to Instagram during the weekend to upload pictures of himself in training.

A video clip of him in action has also emerged, and it is safe to say Jesus is fully fit and ready to return to action.

The Arsenal star and his Barcelona counterpart Raphinha can be seen toying with their teammate and Paris Saint-Germain centre-back and captain Marquinhos.

The defender had a hard time taking the ball off the duo as they engaged in keep-ups for fun in the passing game.

The clip has put doubts over the fitness of the Gunners star to bed, and Jesus will be raring to go against the World Cup reigning champions.

He was left out of the squad that suffered a 2-1 loss to Colombia on Friday.

Brazil have found themselves fifth in the table for the CONMEBOL qualifiers after losing two and drawing one of their opening five games, and injuries to Vinicius Junior and Neymar Junior have left them thin in attack.

They will be relying on Jesus to produce the goods against Argentina in the early hours of Wednesday, and the Arsenal man will be desperate to prove himself given the stiff competition available at the side.
