Confirmed Arsenal line-up vs Luton Town, Havertz returns
|Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made three changes to the starting line-up for tonight’s Premier League meeting against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.
The north London giants have been in fine form since the international break and they picked up a fifth successive victory after beating Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.
Ahead of tonight’s game against the Hatters, the Gunners boss has decided to make three changes to the XI and one of them has been enforced with Takehiro Tomiyasu’s injury.
The Japan international asked to be substituted with a minor issue against Wolves and there are no surprises that he has not been included in the matchday squad tonight.
In his place, Ben White has got the nod in the right-back position. The Englishman has the opportunity to reclaim his spot permanently with a strong showing against the Hatters.
Elsewhere, there has been a straight swap at left-back with Jakub Kiwior coming in for Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Ukrainian made a mistake which led to Wolves’ goal on Saturday.
However, we believe he has returned to the bench as part of the rotation. The former Manchester City star has been injury prone and Arteta is probably handling him with caution.
The only other change in the line-up is in the centre of the park. Kai Havertz has reclaimed his starting spot in the number eight position ahead of Leandro Trossard tonight.
Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1): David Raya; Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Jakub Kiwior; Declan Rice, Kai Havertz; Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli; Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal are currently two points ahead of second-placed Liverpool in the table and have a brilliant opportunity to extend the gap to five points with another victory.
They will start the game as big favourites but can’t take Luton lightly at home, considering they almost got the better of Liverpool. They went on to share the spoils in the end (1-1).
