Confirmed Arsenal line-up vs Aston Villa, Zinchenko returns

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made one change to the starting line-up for this evening’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa at Villa Park.

The Gunners are currently on a four-match winning streak in the top-flight and they will be aiming for a fifth successive victory to return to the top of the table.

Ahead of today’s game, Arteta has made a solitary change with Oleksandr Zinchenko replacing Jakub Kiwior in the left-back position as we expected.

There has been much talk about David Raya’s place in goal after his two blunders at Luton Town. Ian Wright recently described him as the flop of the season.

However, the Spaniard has got the vote of confidence from Arteta and will continue between the sticks against the Villans ahead of Aaron Ramsdale.

The rest of the line-up is unchanged. Ben White continues at right-back. The Englishman registered an assist in the recent 4-3 comeback win at Luton.

William Saliba will partner Gabriel Magalhaes in the heart of the defence as usual.

Declan Rice will start in the number six role. The 24-year-old has been a huge hit at the club and scored the vital stoppage time winner at Kenilworth Road.

He will be partnered by Kai Havertz, who has found form in recent weeks. The Germany international has three goals for the Gunners in his last four appearances.

Further forward, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel expectedly retain their wide attacking positions with captain Martin Odegaard continuing in the number 10 role.

Gabriel Jesus will lead the line for the north London giants again. He is in good form with two goals and two assists since the November international break.

Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Rice, Havertz; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Jesus.
