Confirmed Arsenal line-up vs Liverpool, Gabriel Jesus injured

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has made three changes to the starting line-up for the FA Cup third round tie against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are currently winless in three straight games and they have the opportunity to end the streak with a strong showing against the Reds.

Ahead of the game, Arteta has made three changes to the starting XI. David Raya drops to the bench with Aaron Ramsdale getting the nod between the sticks.

Ramsdale has been the second-choice goalkeeper since mid-September. There are no surprises that he has been picked to start in another Cup competition.

In front of him, it is the same backline from the 2-1 league defeat at Fulham last weekend.

Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Jakub Kiwior have retained their places. Oleksandr Zinchenko has not recovered from his calf problem.

In the centre of the park, Jorginho makes the XI for the first time in a while. He will start in the number six position with Declan Rice playing slightly higher up.

Further forward, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard have retained their positions on the right wing and number 10 roles respectively but Gabriel Martinelli has been dropped.

The Brazilian winger has been very inconsistent with his performances over the past few months. Reiss Nelson has got the nod over him on the left wing.

There is a surprise up front with Kai Havertz leading the line ahead of Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus – the latter is not in the squad due to a minor knee issue.

Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Liverpool: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior; Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Nelson; Havertz.
