Arsenal have joined Bayern Munich in the race for Sacha Boey, Galatasaray want €30m

Arsenal have now submitted an offer for Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey, according to Turkish outlet A Spor.

However, the Gunners are not the only club keen on the Frenchman as Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have also tabled bids for him.

Turkish journalist Kaya Temel also corroborated the story from A Spor, saying that Gala indeed want €30 million for Boey.

Arsenal want to bolster their options at right-back after summer signing Jurrien Timber got injured on the first day of the campaign.

While the Netherlands international has started individual training, it remains to be seen whether he will return to action anytime soon given how tricky injuries involving the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) are.

Thomas Partey recently returned to first-team training and is also capable of playing at right-back despite primarily being a midfielder, but the North Londoners appear to be preparing for life without the 30-year-old.

Boey has scored two goals in 25 games across all competitions for the Super Lig club, and his style of play has attracted Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta from the look of things.

The 23-year-old is an excellent dribbler who crosses and tackles well, and his attacking instincts and abilities have also caught the attention of PSG and Bayern.

Arsenal have Financial Fair Play (FFP) constraints right now and it is unknown whether they can spend up to €30m on a player this month as they want to stay in line with Premier League profit and sustainability rules.

They may need to wait until the summer transfer window before having a realistic chance of landing Boey, but it could be too late by then with Bayern and PSG serious about recruiting the services of the former Rennes star before the January transfer window shuts on Wednesday.
