Newcastle United and Ajax keen on Arsenal youngster Amario Cozier-Duberry
|Arsenal have held talks with attacking midfielder Amario Cozier-Duberry as he enters the last five months of his current contract, according to the Evening Standard.
The Hale End graduate is already attracting interest from Ajax, Anderlecht, Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United as they have been alerted to the fact he could be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
However, Arsenal want Cozier-Duberry to remain with them and while no agreement has been struck yet, discussions are ongoing as both parties look to reach an amicable conclusion.
The 18-year-old winger is yet to make his senior team debut for Arsenal, but he has regularly trained and toured with the first team and has been tipped to establish himself as a star for the club.
He plays in the same position as Bukayo Saka, which has seen his opportunities limited, and a chance to leave for where he is guaranteed a pathway to senior football could be tempting.
Cozier-Duberry has been impressive for the youth teams, playing a key role as the under-18s reached the FA Youth Cup final last term.
His huge potential has attracted the aforementioned clubs and plenty of others who have watched him several times this term.
The teenage sensation has huge potential and is an exciting player, but his decision-making needs plenty of improvement.
Championship and League One clubs have shown interest in taking Cozier-Duberry on loan this month for the remainder of the campaign, but he is expected to remain at Arsenal as the club are desperate to get him to sign a contract extension.
