Confirmed Arsenal line-up vs Porto, Jorginho starts
|Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has picked his starting line-up ahead of tonight’s Champions League encounter against Porto on the road.
The Gunners have travelled to the Estadio do Dragao for the first leg of the round of 16 tie and they will be aiming to secure a good-margin victory.
Ahead of the game, Arteta has named an unchanged XI for the third straight occasion.
David Raya will start in goal for the Gunners as usual with Ben White and Jakub Kiwior operating from the right and left-back positions respectively.
William Saliba will partner Gabriel Magalhaes at the heart of the defence as always.
We had predicted that Jorginho would be in the XI alongside Declan Rice to provide defensive stability, but Arteta has gone with Kai Havertz once more.
Further forward, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli form the attack alongside Leandro Trossard, who makes his third straight start.
The good news is on the bench with Fabio Vieira back in the matchday squad, having been out on the sidelines in recent months due to a groin surgery.
Ethan Nwaneri also gets the nod among the substitutes. The Gunners graduate will be hoping to make his Champions League debut for the club tonight.
Arsenal are winless in their last three trips to the Estadio do Dragao. They will be aiming to end the streak tonight to boost their chances of making the quarter-final.
The Gunners have not made it to the last eight of the elite competition since 2010. The fans will be hoping that the club can cross the hurdle this time around.
Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Porto: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior; Rice, Havertz; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Trossard.
