Confirmed Arsenal line-up vs Sheffield United

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has named his starting line-up ahead of tonight’s Premier League clash against Sheffield United on the road.

The Gunners have been in exceptional league form since the turn of the year. They have won six games on the bounce, scoring 25 goals and conceding thrice.

The club will be eyeing another victory tonight in order to close the gap to leaders Liverpool to just two points. Ahead of the game, Arteta has made no changes.

David Raya will continue between the sticks as usual with Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Jakub Kiwior making up the four-man defence.

In front of them, Arteta has decided to stick with the same midfield combination of Jorginho and Declan Rice, who dominated Newcastle United last time out.

There would have been the temptation to rest Jorginho and play a more creative player, but the manager has decided to keep things simple with an unchanged side.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli continue on the right and left wing respectively with club-captain Martin Odegaard featuring from his customary number 10 role.

Up front, it will be Kai Havertz leading the line. The German has netted in back-to-back league games and will be aiming to continue the good form at Bramall Lane.

Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Sheffield: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior; Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Havertz.

Meanwhile, there is good news on the bench with Thomas Partey back in the mix for the first time since October. He has successfully recovered from a thigh problem.

The Ghanaian is likely to be eased back into first-team action. With Jorginho’s current form, the midfielder could be restricted to cameo appearances for the time being.
