Arsenal stars react as Ben White makes history after grabbing Gunners’ 10,000th goal in all competitions against Sheffield United
|Arsenal put six goals past Sheffield United on Monday night, and the Gunners have now scored 10,000 goals in all competitions in the history of the club.
Ben White grabbed the goal in style as the North London club put the Blades to the sword at Bramall Lane, with the English defender making history with the milestone moment for the club.
The 26-year-old last found the back of the net in the 4-0 win against Bournemouth last September, and his teammates were relieved to see him finally get among the goals given their prolific form in the final third recently.
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard took to the comment section on Instagram after White posted on his account, while the likes of Jurrien Timber and Leandro Trossard also reacted.
The Gunners have now scored 17 goals in their last three league games away from home, which has seen them boost their goal difference.
Arsenal have scored 68 goals (the most in the Premier League so far) and conceded 38 goals (the least in the Premier League so far) after 27 games, and their impressive goal difference could come in handy at the end of this three-horse title race.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal currently make up the top three in the league table but are kept apart by just two points with 11 games remaining, and should the trio finish on the same points on matchday 38, the club with the best goal difference gets to win the title.
Arsenal are putting themselves in a good position with their ruthlessness in front of goal and their defensive solidity at the back, and White will be keen to keep playing important roles at both ends of the pitch.
They host Brentford on Saturday and will be keen to keep winning as they could end the weekend as league leaders with a victory if Liverpool and Man City draw on Sunday.
