Predicted Arsenal line-up vs Brentford, Jesus starts

Arsenal line up four-man shortlist to potentially replace injury-prone Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal will be eyeing an eighth consecutive Premier League win when they host Brentford at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

The Gunners have been in scintillating form in the top-flight this year. They have won seven straight games with 31 goals scored and just three conceded.

The club have the opportunity to temporarily move to the top of the standings by beating the Bees in today’s London derby at home.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

David Raya is ineligible to face his parent club Brentford and this opens up another opportunity for Aaron Ramsdale between the sticks.

The Englishman kept a clean sheet in the reverse fixture, but he required a couple of goalline clearances from his teammates.

He will be aiming for a better performance in what could potentially be his final appearance for the club.

In defence, no changes are on the cards.

Ben White was fantastic in the 6-0 win at Sheffield United and capped the performance with a fantastic left-footed goal.

William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are nailed-on starters at the heart of the Gunners defence.

The same can be said for Jakub Kiwior at left-back. He has been fantastic in the injury absence of Oleksandr Zinchenko.

We anticipate a change in midfield with Jorginho dropping to the bench. He could be kept afresh for the Porto game in midweek.

Declan Rice could drop into the number six role with Kai Havertz partnering him.

Havertz has netted in each of his previous three league games and will be aiming to continue his good form from central midfield.

Further forward, Bukayo Saka should start on the right wing once more.

The Gunners graduate provided two assists at Bramall Lane, but was substituted at the half-time interval due to a minor illness.

Martin Odegaard is a guaranteed starter in the number 10 position. The Norwegian opened the scoring in the 6-0 rout of Sheffield.

Gabriel Martinelli, however, could be absent for the game. He had a little cut on his left foot and may not be risked unless fully fit.

We anticipate Leandro Trossard to replace him on the left side of the attack with Gabriel Jesus getting the nod up front.

Jesus made his return from a knee injury against the Blades where he was unlucky not to score.

The Brazilian could be handed an opportunity to impress up front. He scored and assisted in his last start for the club.
