Arsenal interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush

Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush during the summer transfer window, according to Bild (page 11).

The north London giants have been fancied to sign a new centre-forward this summer and they have already been linked with Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen and Joshua Zirkzee.

Bild now reveal that Mikel Arteta’s side are interested in the services of Marmoush. Premier League rivals Liverpool are also admirers of the Egypt international.

Meanwhile, Bild (online) claim that the Premier League duo are thinking about signing him. They have been handed a boost as the 25-year-old ‘dreams of England’.

Eintracht are aware of his ambition, but they are set to demand at least €50 million for his sale.

Marmoush has three years left in his deal with Eintracht whom he joined on a free transfer last summer.

Arsenal should aim higher than Marmoush

The Egyptian ace has had a good campaign with the Bundesliga outfit, scoring 15 goals and providing six assists from 32 appearances across all competitions.

Aside from his goal involvements, he has won 5.4 duels per game, but he is not known for his distribution. Marmoush has a good work rate but averages only 12 passes per outing.

In our opinion, the Gunners should aim higher if they want to challenge for regular trophies.

Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres would be a much better fit than Marmoush. He has netted 33 goals and provided 12 assists in his debut campaign with the Portuguese outfit.

The Swede averages 19 passes per league outing with 7.4 duels won.

He has a huge release clause worth €100m in his deal, but Sporting are open to selling him for less this summer. A transfer for around €60-70m would be superb business.
