Arsenal to face Bayern Munich in UCL quarter-final

Can Arsenal win the Champions League this season?

Arsenal have been drawn alongside Bayern Munich in the last eight stage of the Champions League.

The north London giants have had a fantastic European campaign. They finished top of their Champions League group with 13 points ahead of Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven.

They had a tricky round of 16 tie against Porto but managed to progress on penalties after a 1-1 draw on aggregate. David Raya was the hero in the shoot-out with two stellar saves.

Mikel Arteta’s side will now face six-time champions Bayern during the quarter-final stage. The Gunners have revived their fond rivalry with the current Bundesliga holders.

The Gunners have sore memories against Bayern, having lost by a 10-2 aggregate during the round of 16 stage of the 2016/17 campaign. They will be aiming to seek revenge.

Arsenal will play hosts to Thomas Tuchel’s side at the Emirates Stadium on the 9th or 10th of April with the return leg at the Allianz Arena on either the 16th or 17th of April.

Meanwhile, the Gunners will take on either Real Madrid or Manchester City, should they progress.

If they were to make the final four, Arsenal will once again play the first leg at home on April 30/May 1. The return leg is scheduled to be played on either May 7 or May 8.

Arsenal have been handed a tough draw with Bayern, Madrid and City in their bracket to London.

The Gunners will be determined to make a statement by reaching the final at the Wembley Stadium where they have had a fantastic winning record over the years.
