Arsenal are one of the clubs Joshua Kimmich is considering as he weighs up Bayern Munich future

Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich has Arsenal as one of the clubs he is considering as he eyes a potential summer exit from the Bundesliga club, according to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.

The German club are prepared to sell the 29-year-old this summer if a suitable offer comes in as there have been no talks over extending his contract which expires in 2025.

Kimmich is not keen on joining Manchester United, Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain, but he is open to a move to the North London club, with Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona also in consideration.

Some of them have already contacted the versatile player and he is open to discussions.

Arsenal will be bolstering their squad ahead of next term, and the Germany international fits the bill given his huge quality and experience.

Man City manager Pep Guardiola once praised his focus, aerial prowess and personality on the ball during their time together at the Allianz Arena club, claiming that ‘he’s got absolutely everything’, and the Gunners could do with such a player within their ranks.

He has two goals and seven assists in 30 games across all competitions for Bayern this term and has featured as a defensive midfielder and right-back.

Kimmich’s strengths include his crossing, passing, providing key passes and through balls, retaining possession, taking set-pieces, playing long shots and tackling, and the Gunners should try to land him in the summer once he is put up for sale.

With 41 goals and 102 assists in 378 games for Bayern, the German has proven his quality over the years, winning eight Bundesliga titles, three German Cups, six German Super Cups and one Champions League title so far.

Kimmich would love to continue the trophy-winning spree at his next club should he leave his childhood club this summer, and it appears he is convinced Arsenal are one of the clubs capable of winning major silverware consistently going forward.
