Confirmed Arsenal line-up vs Brighton & Hove Albion
|
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has named his starting line-up for today’s Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion on the road.
The Gunners returned to winning ways against Luton Town in midweek and will be aiming for another victory to temporarily return to the top of the table.
Ahead of today’s game at the Amex Stadium, Arteta has opted for four changes to the starting XI.
In goal, David Raya continues as usual. He has kept 11 clean sheets in the Premier League season and will be eyeing another shut-out against the Seagulls.
In front of him, the manager has decided to stick with the same back four. Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Oleksandr Zinchenko keep their places.
However, there is an overhaul in midfield with Jorginho and Declan Rice coming in for Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe in the number six and number eight roles.
There are also two changes in attack. Martin Odegaard continues in the number 10 position, but he will Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus partnering him out wide.
Kai Havertz will lead the attack on the back of eight goal contributions in six league games.
Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Brighton: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Jesus; Havertz.
Liverpool face a potentially tricky game against Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow. Arsenal need to keep up the pressure by beating the Seagulls at the Amex Stadium.
It won’t be an easy challenge, however, considering Brighton are unbeaten in their last 14 games in all competitions at home. Arsenal will have to play at their best to secure a victory.
